Dishub Holds Electric-Powered Vehicles Testing Training

Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) held technology introduction training and tested electric vehicles at Motor Vehicle Testing Management Unit (UP PKB) in Pulogadung, East Jakarta, Saturday (1/9).

Jakarta Dishub Head, Syafrin Liputo mentioned, there were 100 people who participated in this training, consisting of motor vehicle testers, National Transportation Safety Committee (KNKT), and Transjakarta Bus Operators.

"We are honing motorized vehicle testers competence and skills thus in the future they can test the electric-powered vehicles," he said.

According to him, number of electric-powered vehicles is increasing, thus motor vehicle testers must understand about electric-powered vehicle testing techniques first.

Meanwhile, Motor Vehicle Testers Association (IKPI) General Secretary, Fatchuri said, the examiners must understand very well about electric-powered vehicle since it has a quite large electric power which up to 600 volts. Because it concerns the safety of many people.

"Later on, participants will obtain certificate signed by Transportation Ministry (Kemenhub)'s Land Transportation Facilities Director, Jakarta Transportation Agency Head, and IKPI General Secretary," he explained.
